Biographies

  • George A. Brown

    Mr. Brown is an Honours Finance and Accounting B.B.A. graduate of Bishop’s University. Mr. Brown has provided financial services to Campbell Resources Inc., Ressources Camchib Inc., Cullaton Lakes Gold Mines Inc., Chesbar Resources Inc., Boulder Mining Corporation, Nugget Resources Inc., Titanium Corporation, and Corner Bay Silver Inc. in his over 20 years of experience in the mining sector. Mr. Brown was Treasurer of Corner Bay Silver Inc. at the time of his appointment as President of MacMillan. Corner Bay Silver Inc. provided a sound experience in successful Mexican exploration through its discovery and development of the Alamo Dorado Silver Project. (“BAY” on TSX Exchange).

  • David C. Hammond

    Mr. Hammond graduated in 1988 from Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville Alabama with a B.Sc. in Accounting and Finance. Since graduation, performed public accounting and auditing for 7 years with PriceWaterhouse Coopers and Revenue Canada Taxation, then moved to banking for 12 years leaving as a Vice President of Underwriting for an international finance company. Successfully underwrote and closed over $1 billion of commercial loans in Canada and the USA during this period. Accepted the title of Chief Financial Officer in March 2007.

  • John P. Thompson

    Mr. Thompson has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Acadia University in Earth Sciences (Geology). He is also a Geological Engineer with over 30 years experience in our industry including as Vice President and President of public companies.

  • David A. Bending

    Mr. Bending is an honours B.Sc. Geology graduate from University of Oregon and also completed his M. Sc. at University of Toronto in Mineral Deposits Geology, Geochemistry, Geochemistry and Geophysics. His thesis won him the CIM President’s Gold Medal Award. Mr. Bending’s experience as a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto helped develop his excellent interpersonal skills. Mr. Bending has worked for The Bunker Hill Company, Rio Tinto Canadian Exploration Ltd., Texasgulf Exploration, and Homestake Mining Company where he was Exploration Manager for Northern Latin America. Mr. Bending has extensive hands on experience working in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. Mr. Bending will manage and direct all Mexican exploration programs.

  • William S. Hamilton

    Mr. Hamilton is a P.Geo. and Manager of Exploration. He is a Qualified Person under the meaning of Canadian National Instrument 43-101.

  • Greg Van Staveren

    Mr. Greg Van Staveren is a C.A. and C.P.A. He has been a partner in one of Canada’s largest accounting and consulting firms and has extensive experience with all aspects of corporate reporting within the mining and junior resource sectors.

  • Wayne W. Valliant

    Mr. Valliant is a is a P.Geo. with B.Sc. in Geology from Carlton University in Ottawa. He is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario. Mr. Valliant's background includes having a working knowledge of Spanish from his worldwide work experiences which included supervising the engineering and geology departments of a 3,000 tpd open pit heap leach gold mine in Senora, Mexico. Mr. Valliant has project management experience in Ecuador, Mexico and Panama. He has been involved in Feasibility/Prefeasibility studies in Honduras, Ontario, Panama, and Saudi Arabia. He has been involved in scoping studies in Costa Rica, Cuba, Ireland, Kazakhstan, the N.W.T. and Peru. He also has experience in reserve and grade control in Argentina, Brazil, California, Chile, China, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Ontario, Quebec, Sweden, and Uruguay.

  • Thomas Skimming

    Mr. Skimming has been a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario since 1971 and is the president of Thomas Skimming & Associates Limited. Mr. Skimming has been active in Canadian and worldwide exploration since 1957 and has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Michigan. The Company is fortunate to attract a new director with such experience including directorship in several public exploration companies.
